 Multifibre DW is a testing fabric comprising of six different fibre components. SDC Multifibre DW can be used as an adjacent fabric in many of the ISO 105 C Series and E Series of Colour fastness tests and meets chain store fastness test specification.

It is produced with a narrow weave construction and contains the following components, Acetate, Cotton, Nylon, Polyester, Acrylic and Wool. Multifibre DW undergoes a rigorous quality control procedure conducted by independent UKAS accredited labs. The testing includes the individual yarns prior to construction and further tests on the finished product. The Multifibre is required to pass these tests before each new batch is considered fit for sale.

These are a series of 8 wool fabrics dyed with specified blue dyes to give blue wool cloths ranging from very low light fastness to very high light fastness. This forms a numerical scale of 1 to 8 where 1 has the poorest light fastness, to 8 which has the best light fastness. This allows fabrics to be graded, using a Grey Scale for Change in Colour, for correlation with performance in use. This is used to predict the suitability for a given end use; typically apparel would be a minimum of grade 4 whilst furnishings would require a grade 6. They are used in the ISO 105 B series of tests and can be used in conjunction with the Humidity Control fabric for machine calibration.

To complement the range of Blue Wool Standards we also supply specially prepared mounted card that is totally free of any optical brightening agents. This ensures mounted samples are easier to grade as the card does not show a significant Colour change. It is widely recognised that the Colour of the background can influence how an item is finally graded.

• 1993 Standard Reference Detergent is manufactured to AATCC specifications and can be used in any standard test. The Standard detergent does contain optical brighteners and is available in a 24lb container
• WOB 1993 Standard Reference Detergent - 24LB
• 1993 AATCC Standard Detergent WOB (without optical brightener) is used in AATCC Test Method 61 to evaluate the wash fastness of fabrics. The detergent is available in 24lb bucket.

This product is manufactured for use in the ISO 105 C series of Colour fastness tests. This product is manufactured for use in the IEC 456:1994 for performance evaluation of washing machines. It is also specified in the ISO 10528:1994 test method. This powder free from fluorescent brightening agent to closely replicate a domestic detergent and the formulation is tightly controlled to ensure it meets the specification of the ISO standard.

This phosphate based detergent powder is a completely homogeneous product, which ensures that batch to batch continuity is excellent and promotes superior shelf life. Spray dried to ensure there is no risk of the product separating into its constituent parts, which removes the possibility of inconsistent results.
